Melissa Daams Fine Art
I like to brush life into the scenes that I paint. I like my art to feel calm, cheerful, nostalgic and reminiscent of experiences with my friends and children. In addition to people, I like to paint my favorite places in Southern Utah: playgrounds and parks, open spaces in the desert or mountains, historical sites, and cozy cottages in tiny towns. When I travel, which is not often, small vignettes of those experiences show up on my canvas as well. I like to paint with oil, acrylic, and watercolor. My second favorite thing to do is crochet. I like to do blankets, toys and whatever strikes my fancy. Occasionally, I work with felt, embroidery floss and fabric as well.

Charly Moore, born in Germany, August 1956. I am a photographer specializing in landscape and wildlife fine art photography based in Ivins, Utah. I have lived in the southwest for the past 15 years. In 2015 I opened my new gallery, at the Kayenta Art Village where my photography is displayed. My fascination for landscape and wildlife has come from the love of the area and the beauty it holds within. I primarily enjoy photographing the southwest, but also enjoy photographing other regions. Looking at my images on the wall is totally different from how I imagine the viewer sees my work. I see my work through the journey, without the journey the work is meaningless. I have walked through each picture and stopped to record the direction of my experience. The longer the walk, the more in touch I feel with the land, the more my senses are heightened and acute. The longer the walk, the better the images become because my sight becomes attuned to the subtle details nature presents. I have met many photographers over the years from which I also draw inspiration and admire their personal visions.
