The band plays from a BOAT! Southern Utah has become a nexus for visual and performing arts. 4 state parks, one of the most popular national parks in the country, just 2 hours from Las Vegas by auto, and direct flights into St. George from cities like Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, and even Chicago - it’s an incredible place to create, recreate, and rejuvenate.
This September, over 700 singers from across Southern Utah will take the stage together. High school students, university singers, community ensembles, and the Southern Utah Heritage Choir are coming together for SING! A Community Choral Celebration, all under the direction of internationally known composer and conductor Craig Courtney.

Courtney’s career has taken him from the University of Cincinnati to Milan and the renowned Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. He has published more than 400 choral works, and his music is performed by choirs around the world.

On September 25 & 26, he’ll be here in St. George, leading one of the largest choral gatherings our community has seen: nearly 725 voices from across Southern Utah, all on one stage!
