Mister Lincoln by Herbert Mitgang
Presented by American Crossroads Theatre (formerly Simonfest Theatre Company) at Festival Hall and Heritage Theater - Cedar City Cedar City, UT
"Eloquent" was how the Washington Star described the production at Ford's Theatre in Washington, the place where Lincoln was assassinated. When the play reached Broadway, the N.Y. Times called it "human and humane." This is Lincoln's life and mind from the moment he stepped on the public stage, during his youth and maturity in Illinois as an advocate, to the momentous years he spent in Washington as the great emancipator during the Civil War. The events and ideas are rooted in historical records and new discoveries by the playwright about Lincoln the man, the husband, the wartime commander in chief, the president—with special emphasis on Lincoln's own brilliant language. By the conclusion of the play, the audience has discovered the inner life of the human, humorous, and often troubled president's personal and public self. The Lincoln who emerges in this show is no country bumpkin but a wise and often shrewd man of both velvet and steel. Inside: Conditions of Care by Samantha Killinen
Presented by St. George Museum of Art at St. George Museum of Art Saint George, UT
We are proud to present "Inside: Conditions of Care," featuring the work of Utah artist Samantha Killinen. Killinen is no stranger to the southern Utah art community. Her work was featured in the 2025 Statewide Annual, hosted at the Southern Utah Museum of Art — and it drew visitors from across the state to Cedar City. Her ability to connect with audiences, locally and beyond, speaks for itself. We are thrilled that her debut solo exhibition has found its home in St. George. This newest body of work grew from something personal: direct experience working inside the prison system. The works are soft in material and feeling — a deliberate choice for a subject that is usually anything but. This is not an exhibition about solutions. It is an examination of contradiction: what it looks like when compassion and control exist in the same space, when comfort and confinement are part of the same daily reality. Most of us will never see the inside of a correctional facility. These works open that door, not to shock, but to humanize. They sit with complicated identities, messy histories, and situations that don't have clean endings. Throughout the gallery, you will find words from incarcerated individuals who worked closely with the artist. We hope you will read them carefully, and carry them with you as you move through the space. Between Symbols and Stories: A Mid-Career Retrospective by Megan Knobloch Geilman
Presented by St. George Museum of Art at St. George Museum of Art Saint George, UT
Megan Knobloch Geilman splits her time between Utah and Southern California — and St. George is the natural meeting point between her two worlds. We are honored to be hosting her first solo exhibition here at the St. George Museum of Art. Geilman's work has been celebrated across the state, shown at the Springville Museum of Art, the Church History Museum, and galleries throughout Utah, earning prestigious recognitions and a purchase award along the way. Her digital compositions draw from centuries of visual tradition: the scales of judgment, the mourning posture of a pietà, the veiled face of a queen. Geilman gathers these symbols and places them in new contexts, weaving in Egyptian funerary rites, Dutch Golden Age painting, Japanese kintsugi, and more — asking what familiar images carry, what they hide, and what they might still have left to say. Each work takes months, sometimes years, to complete. The stories she reaches for are specific: the history, doctrine, and social questions related to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. By placing these narratives alongside other visual and cultural traditions, meaning travels across time and heritage, each thread enriching the ones beside it. This exhibition is also a milestone — a first look back at a body of work still very much in progress, moving with patience and rigor. To move through it is to follow a conversation Geilman is always having with the history of art. Each label includes one of the many art historical references woven…

Hamlet
Presented by Utah Shakespeare Festival at Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre Cedar City, UT
Prince Hamlet seeks truth—and vengeance. Haunted by his father’s death and disillusioned by a corrupt court, he struggles with doubt, and the weight of his own inaction. As he plots revenge against his uncle, now king, Hamlet spirals deeper into isolation and existential crisis. Written at the height of Shakespeare’s genius, Hamlet is a gripping exploration of conscience, power, and how the burdens of the past shape the future in Shakespeare’s most haunting and psychologically rich tragedy.
