The DiFiore Center has an impressive and diverse arts scene. And is reaching out into our very own neighborhoods for material as we continue to "put the community in the Community Arts Center." The DiFiore Center is a home not only to its own projects, but also to many Community-based organizations, reaching out to every Corner of Washington County.

My Name is Emma Moore , I have always been fascinated with old junk, glass, metal and anything emerging from the vast badlands of Utah. 10 years ago I decided to try my hand in Mosaic Art and fell in love with the medium.

Located in the Delores Doré Eccles Fine Arts Center on the Dixie State University campus, the DSU Sears Art Museum features six exhibits each year, offering a variety of art styles from traditional to contemporary for the enjoyment and education of DSU students and the community.

The Cox Performing Arts Center, the home of the Dixie College Orchestra, is also the site of many concerts and dance theater productions. This facility is mostly for public use and houses the Celebrity Concert Series and the Southwest Symphony.

DOCUTAH celebrates the art of documentary filmmaking, connecting Dixie State University and the community to the world. DOCUTAH offers a unique, entertaining International Documentary Film Festival and year-round programs providing creative, cultural, and educational engagement.

Contemporary Oil Landscapes That Call You Home.

Kelly Sooter's contemporary landscapes - are described as "...paintings that take you home". Kelly's full time studio is in Desert Edge - a part Desert Canyon near the airport. The studio is new to the tour and open Oct-mid Nov, & mid Jan-May

We perform puppet shows, have workshops to make puppets, and techniques. We have been to libraries, churches, city activities, we want to do parades, fun for all ages.

Mediums I have used to express myself have been: silver, oil paints, pencil/charcoal, pastels and watercolor. I've studied under a few, well known artists in Utah and South Carolina.

I have been been enjoying the beauty of oil paints for many years.  After a life-hiccup, I am even more passionate about this medium, and continuing to grow and improve with every brush stroke.  I believe there is always room to learn a little more and challenge myself to a greater potential.

I have dabbled in art all of my life. As children it was what we did to keep busy. It was what we made for others when birthdays and Christmas came around. However, it was not for making a living--that's what my Dad used to day. Today I am a full-time software engineer, but I love expressing myself with my art, and have set aside one hour a day for this purpose. I was often asked why I didn't quit working and spend all of my time painting. Dad was right; it simply doesn't pay the bills. I have now retired, and still spend at least one hour a day in my studio.
