The DSU Sears Art Museum is proud to present Ron Larson: His 40 Year Artistic Odyssey.

Dates: October 16th - January 8th

Ron Larson Paints what he feels. With an art career spanning 40+ years, his philosophy is that everything presents itself as art. His bold and exquisite paintings of the Southwest capture emotions of this land. He says, “Art, both its creation and the experience of enjoying it, is a wonder that can heal the soul. As a landscape painter, I feel a closeness to my environment. If my art can help people to connect in a deep and meaningful way to the beauty of our natural world, hopefully they will have a greater desire to protect and preserve them. All of my art is meant for such an outcome, and I feel a great satisfaction when someone feels something from my art.”

In the Eccles Fine Art Grand Foyer Photography: Adam Elliot and Tom Forsythe

DSU Sears Art Museum Hours:

Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Begins together with the Town Square Tree Lighting Ceremony (evening of November 30) hosted by the City of St George - go there to grab your free map and see which participating businesses will host uniquely crafted Gingerbread Houses. Visitors may collect stamps from each location during the 2 week period, and turn in their completed stamp-cards at the end-celebration to receive a prize. Visitors may also vote at each location - for their favorite gingerbread house. The parade ends with a celebration on December 12, 2020 National Gingerbread House Day, at the annual Holiday Market at Ancestor Square hosted by the Downtown Farmers Market.

This event greatly benefits the St George Children's Museum. In case of a COVID-related closing of the final event, alternative arrangements will be made.
